We try to give you best information that we can -- but then what?  Have any of bought anything at least partly because it was in Cruiser?  Did it meet your expectations?  Were our reviews and comments accurate?  And why haven't you been showering us with gifts and accolades?  Feel free to share your own stories with the class.

1. I just bought a Hyosung (formerly Alphasports) GV250 about 2 months ago based on the review at http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/roadtests/250cc_cruiser_comparison/index.html and I have been absolutely thrilled with it. The test information was detailed and accurate on all counts. The article was the primary factor in swaying me from looking at a Yamaha VStar 250. The great things about the bike are its power--very good for a 250 and satisfactory for freeway travel, it's configuration--feels like sitting on a 650 but just a bit lighter, great fuel economy--100+ mpg at 40 mph avg. speed, and I don't feel ashamed at all parking it next to a Harley Sportster at work. For me it is really a starter bike, but I enjoy it so much that I feel no rush to move up to a larger bike anytime soon. I'm extremely grateful to Motorcycle Cruiser for doing a test on 250s and am impressed with their inclusion of novice riders in their testing. That adds huge amounts of credibility. There seems to be a serious lack of information on the smaller and non-mainstream bikes. You have my accolades. What's the likelihood of becoming a tester or contributor to 'Cruiser'? I would love to join in the fun.

2. I bought a Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket about 4 years ago after reading a review in your mag. It's still the only mesh jacket I have, I've found it to be very versatile. Comfortable enough to wear during our south Texas summer temps and warm enough with the liner for our "winter" riding season. On the few days that I need more cold weather protection, donning a large windbreaker over the jacket has been enough. Enjoy your magazine, it's nice having a publication devoted to cruisers since at 48 years of age I'm pretty much past being able to ride in a sport bike position for any length of time! Keep up the good work.

3. the new guy,i like youre comparison tests of cruisers.i bought a used 97 triumph trophy 1200 last june.i dont remember if i read a test in youre magazine about this particular motorcycle. before i buy a motorcycle i like to get as much info as i can. youre magazine is very informative and up to date.

4. I'm no lomger a magazine subscriber. Over the decades, I've learned that magazines that sell advertising space, don't print reviews that list the problems with the products, because that kind of article might alienate advertisers.

Since finding usenet in the 80's, I completely quit reading magazine reviews about anything. The people who actually use the products every day, are usually much more honest and when they aren't, there are many more users writing about the same product, so it's easy to see where the lies are.

Nowadays, I turn to webforums more than usenet. Magazine reviews are the last place where I would expect to find useful information.

5. For my first motorcycle purchase I was researching the internet and found your article comparing several small cruisers; the Honda Rebel 250, Yamaha Virago 250, Suzuki GZ250, Alphasports GV250 and Kymco Venox 250. I was impressed that a cruiser magazine would do a write up on these small bikes. It was a great article, and this article was one of the main reasons I ended up purchasing a 2007 United Motors (Hysoung) 250cc cruiser, which is a successor to the Alphasports GV250. It's an excellent bike. Thanks for the review!
