I was talking to a buddy last month who was grumbling about the sticky carbs on his Shadow ACE. He drained the old gas out of the bike (at least one of the carbs was plugged up) and put some fresh 91-octane fuel in, then topped it off with a couple ounces of RedLine's Fuel System Cleaner.
A couple of weeks later, as he was letting it idle (with enrichener fully on), the bike went from a rough, sputtering idle, to a smooth, normal idle.
He turned off the enrichener and restarted the bike, and it fired up. After 1-2 seconds of sputtering, the engine came back to normal. It now idles smooth with no help from the enrichener.
So my buddy is really swearing by this RedLine stuff for sticky carbs.
Says another gearhead told him NOT to use Sea-Foam, BG-44K, Gum-Out, STP, Star-Tron, etc. He says they just don't work.
Anybody else have good experiences with the stuff?
